The US GENIUS Act helped drive the overall transaction volume of stablecoins in July, according to a report by Sentora Research.
The new legislation provides greater clarity on stablecoins and other digital assets, thus easing institutional and retail fears about the sector and boosting adoption.
We can also expect some of the new retail attention to expand to other altcoins on Ethereum.
Sentora Research revealed in its latest report that the transaction volume of stablecoins broke the $1.5T mark in July.
This surpasses the previous ATH of $1.4T set in August last year, and marks a considerable rebound from the $1.26T recorded in June, 2025.
Circle’s $USDC stablecoin led the market in July with over $748B, which accounts for nearly 50% of the total volume during the period.
Meanwhile, Tether’s $USDT came in second with $420B, or 28% of the volume.
