In 2024, Ethereum has had a lot of problems because it is behind cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Solana, which have made a lot of progress. To date, Ethereum has grown by a solid 70%, but not as much as Bitcoin, which has grown by 142%, or Solana, which has grown by 107%. This lack of speed has made room for new Layer 1 (L1) blockchain networks, such as Graphite Network, which just released a high-performance blockchain to fix the problems with current platforms.

Ethereum’s Struggles in 2024

Ethereum is having problems for a number of reasons. Layer-2 solutions like Arbitrum and Optimism have become more popular, which has taken users’ attention away from Ethereum’s main network. As a result, fewer ETH coins are being burned. This change has weakened Ethereum’s once-vaunted deflationary model, which relied on gas fee burns to control supply well. Also, Ethereum’s transaction speeds—usually around 15 to 20 transactions per second (TPS)—have become a big problem as people look for faster and cheaper options.

The Rise of Graphite Network

On the other hand, Graphite Network has released its L1 blockchain with some very amazing features. By processing up to 1,400 transactions per second and getting confirmation times of less than 10 seconds, Graphite provides a solution that is much more powerful than Ethereum. The network uses the Proof-of-Authority (PoA) agreement model and the Polymer 2.0 algorithm, which makes operations more efficient while using less energy.
Graphite’s unique transaction model makes fee structures clear, which gets rid of the uncertainty that comes with Ethereum’s gas bidding wars. The network also supports Ethereum-compatible virtual machines (EVM), which lets developers move their current Solidity smart contracts without having to make a lot of changes.

Features That Set Graphite Apart

Graphite Network stands out not only by its performance but also by making blockchain involvement more open to everyone. Entry-point (transport) node owners can make passive income from transaction fees—50% of which goes to them. This means that anyone can use the platform without needing a lot of server resources. This new way of doing things motivates more people to join the network and helps make the ecosystem more open to everyone.

Graphite is also made with trust between users in mind. Its Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements are less intrusive than those in traditional financial systems. This gives users the privacy they expect in the blockchain world. Adding tagged names makes sure that fund usage is clear while still protecting privacy.

A Broader Perspective on Blockchain Evolution

Ethereum’s problems are part of a larger shift in the blockchain industry, where new L1 networks like Graphite are making it possible for a lot of people to use blockchain. By tackling problems like scalability and transaction costs, Graphite Network sets itself up as an option for people looking for blockchain solutions that work well and are reliable.

As the world of cryptocurrencies changes, Graphite’s focus on high speed and user-centered features could bring in new users and developers looking for better options than what established networks like Ethereum have to offer. Digital currency use is expected to rise from 6.8% today to 8% by 2025. Graphite is ready to take advantage of this growing interest and change what people expect from blockchain technology.
