Liquid Media Group, together with Eluvio, are excited to present iNDIEFLIX’s award-winning documentary Angst on the blockchain from January 21 – 31.
Liquid Media Group uses the latest technology to benefit independent filmmakers and the independent film market, with one of the first-ever screenings hosted exclusively on the blockchain for 10 days starting the 21st of January.
Liquid Media Group has partnered with the foremost company in the crossover of blockchain technology and entertainment, Eluvio, who recently brought to life “FOX TV’s Masked Singer” in NFT form.
This groundbreaking event will be a screening of iNDIEFLIX’s (a Liquid Media Group company) celebrated film ANGST, which focuses on mental health issues in youths. California recently adopted ANGST as part of the state education – a mandated screening for pupils to address the growing mental health crisis in young people. This screening with Eluvio is a fitting development of the ANGST mission by using the screening to raise funds for two grassroots charities that deal with youth mental health and suicide prevention.
This will be one of the first screenings to use blockchain technology and NFTs as tickets. There will be three NFTs available, created specifically around this screening event; the first of which will be free and capped at 10,000. The second and third will be used to raise money for two charities.
Jack.org and Born This Way Foundation both deal with the same issues of anxiety and depression in children, addressed in ANGST.
Says Eluvio co-founder Michelle Munson, “NFTs are built around communities, so we are delighted to provide our first series in a collection specifically focused on the conversation of mental health.”
The NFTs dropped on January 21st to coincide with the premiere blockchain screening of ANGST. The film will screen for 10 days, complimentary to all holders of the NFT.
The process of claiming a free NFT will be as easy as downloading an Eluv.io wallet from their website, and clicking a button to screen the film. There will be an Eluvio iNDIEFLIX page where the ANGST screening will be hosted; you will be able to access the screening once you have your complimentary NFT in your wallet.
The second and third NFTs that require a fee will be tied to the “Coping Toolkit” developed by iNDIEFLIX, who produced the film. These tools are “Most Common Fears” and “Tips & Tricks to Hack Your Brain,” both mental health essentials.
