Ethereum developers begin finalizing Shanghai upgrade ‘shadow fork’ for testing and bug detection
As the cryptocurrency community awaits the upcoming Shanghai hard fork, a test environment named “Shadow Fork” has been launched by the core Ethereum developers to test the upgrade. This has been done after the developers announced a new test launch on 11 January 2023 after the Shanghai upgrade. This fork will serve to allow state withdrawal and is expected to be completed in March 2023.
According to Ethereum Foundation software developer Marius van der Wijden, the problems with the submitted fork began around 6:00 a.m. Eastern time on Monday morning, and according to his tweet, it started with some issues as the configuration was set correctly on Geth. was not properly implemented and the developers say so (we do not allow overriding of the mainnet config).
